About Clipsticks

Some of these sculpted objects built from simple craft sticks and foldback clips, were amazingly tactile and mutable. The combination was intriguing and an explorative journey began.We pooled our craftiness and experimented with these mundane objects, building structures that anyone we showed them to became absorbed with, we kept hearing that the structures were greater than the sum of their parts, that these simple and ordinary objects had become simply extraordinary in their combination.We refined the engineering of the structures, developing clever combinations of the clips so they interlocked and enhanced fluidity or transferred mobility. We built large structures that covered whole walls and we built small structures that could be held in one hand. We added colour and lit the structures so the light and the objects worked together to sculpt the spaces they sat in.Our first public offering, that we have called iris lights because of their circular expansion and contraction have now been perfected. Each light is morphable around a central light source that spills through carefully chosen materials to transform the spaces they inhabit.Play with them, they’re compellingly addictive....create stunning designs that exceed your expectations.
